Charging an Airsoft Battery: The initial charge should be 4 hours but no longer, and subsequent charges should last no longer than 2-3 hours. Overcharging your battery will ruin your battery so that it won't hold a charge. Remember to never overcharge your battery!

Machine Gun – Class III in the 21st Century

Ok this is the nearest to an “Investment Plug” I think the blog will ever do.

Not all that widely known is that a good many US Citizens may qualify for civilian ownership of a Machine Gun – a Thompson Submachine gun – Tommy Gun – an M-16 – or an UZI – or any one of hundreds of other machine guns.

While they own one they will also experience an increase in investment value caused by the strictly limited supply of legal machine guns.

This is nothing new.

Since the 1930’s the NFA (National Firearms Act) has laid out the rules for civilian ownership of machine guns. The rules have been modified in the 1960’s & 1980’s but the basic structure remains.

After passing a background check and paying a $200 tax (for a stamp) a qualified US Citizen living in a location allowing private machine gun ownership may acquire the firearm.

Here is a good summary of the rules:

With the number of “Fully Transferable” Class III Machine Guns capped at less than 300,000 pieces the values of these firearms has increased dramatically over the years.

Current pricing is starter Class III (Mac-10 type Machine Gun) currently is in the $3,000 range, having been a $800 gun just five or years ago.

A “fine” machine gun (M-16 or Thompson) range from $10,000 to $40,000.

The nuances of Class III ownership are beyond this short piece, but it is one of those rare occasions when something is Fun, is Investment Grade and so tightly regulated by the Government that there is zero chance of a sudden flood of legal product diluting one’s investment.

Now if we could only find a way to make such stellar investments in the Amateur Radio hobby as well!

7.62 MINIMI Light Machine Gun

For the first time in Latin America, the recently developed 7.62 MINIMI Light Machine Gun specially dedicated to dismounted infantrymen and special forces will be on display at FIDAE.
The new MINIMI has been specifically designed to fit the market requirements
for a 7.62mm light machine gun which are to give the soldier "the power of 7.62 ammunition in the weight of a 5.56 machine gun" whilst offering similar ergonomics and having many parts in common with the internationally known 5.56 MINIMI. Whoever is familiar with the 5.56 MINIMI will be able to use the 7.62 MINIMI with no extra training.

Polish AKMS Overview

There are not many left of these so we made it a point to get some pictures and reviewed them now. These are well built AK47 made by Ewbank Manufacturing and sold by Arms of America 1-888-729-7815
This is a well built and solid AK47. They started with a Polish underfolder Parts Kit which was made at the Radom factory in the 1950 and 60s. It was later taken out of service and eventually chopped into parts, At some point the Guys at Arms of America and Ewbank Manufacturing took possession and they were turned back into semi auto US legal versions of the original AK47s they once were.
